Amberley Lodge is a self-catering lodge situated on the private 900 hectares Amberley Mountain Reserve near Dullstroom. The Lodge boasts spectacular views overlooking a valley with 4 trout dams and a wide variety of plains game.
The Lodge is equipped to accommodate a maximum of 12 guests including children of all ages. Accommodation includes 1 x Queen en-suite room, 1 x Twin en-suite room, 2 x Twin rooms sharing a bathroom. Upstairs is a main King room sharing a bathroom with a Twin room
There are a large living and entertainment area complete with a large well-equipped kitchen with a scullery area, a large lounge area with a large open fireplace, a custom bar area, and an extensive dining room. The dining area opens on to a large covered patio with a braai facility and a large outside table overlooking the pool and extensive views. The second TV lounge with DSTV access and the double wood burner is conveniently separate and accessed via the kitchen.
Amberley Lodge is accessed on a private concrete road only 1 km from Dullstroom. The road ambles through private farmland for 6km's after which one enters the Mountain Reserve. Enjoy the spectacular views and animal sightings as you drive for about 3km's to the lodge
Dullstroom village is a well-known country town popular with tourists. It offers many award-winning restaurants, art galleries, pubs, bespoke deli, and antique shops. Located at over 2100m ASL, Dullstroom is a popular trail running and Mountain biking area. Although Amberley offers exceptional natural splendor to take your bike or running shoes, there is a Park Run at the Dullstroom Nature Reserve every Saturday morning as well as a large network of MTB trails. Should you wish to play golf, be sure to book your tee-off time in advance for the Ernie Els designed Highland Gate Golf & Trout Estate. This course is rated one of the best in South Africa.
