Welcome to Field and Stream, a peaceful farm stay just beyond Dullstroom on the Tonteldoos Road, approximately two and a half hours from Johannesburg. Surrounded by open countryside, flowing streams and three waterfalls, the farm offers a private setting for guests looking to enjoy the outdoors, with accommodation suitable for couples, families and larger groups. The property offers a choice of accommodation, including two stone cottages sleeping six to eight guests, an upmarket 10-sleeper lodge, the original six-sleeper Farmstead, and a cosy two-sleeper cottage. With a total capacity of up to 30 guests, the accommodation makes Field and Stream a practical option for family getaways, fishing weekends, group stays and special occasions. For outdoor enthusiasts, there is plenty to do on the farm. Guests can enjoy fly-fishing in the dams or along the Witpoort River, explore the countryside on foot or by mountain bike, and spend time birdwatching among the surrounding landscapes. The farm also has a clay pigeon shooting range, catering for both beginners and experienced shooters. The natural setting is one of Field and Stream's main attractions, with panoramic views, flowing water and three waterfalls adding to the countryside experience. Guests can spend the day outdoors before returning to their accommodation for a relaxed evening surrounded by the quiet of the farm. Field and Stream is also equipped with a conference centre, making the property suitable for meetings, team-building activities and celebratory events. Its combination of accommodation, outdoor activities and private surroundings allows groups to combine business or special occasions with time in the countryside. All accommodation units are fenced and pet-friendly, making Field and Stream a good choice for guests who want to bring their dogs along on their Dullstroom getaway. Please note that Field and Stream is accessed via a dirt road. The road can be navigated by all vehicles with careful driving, although a high-clearance vehicle is recommended for a more comfortable journey. Dullstroom is a small, quaint town on the Mpumalanga grassland highlands, half way between Johannesburg / Pretoria and the Kruger National Park. Located on the Steenkampsberg, this grassland area has an incredible diversity of birds, wild flowers and other wild life. The area is well known for fly fishing, its cooler climate that often offers four seasons in a day, its misty days and fire places. Dullstroom has a number of restaurants and bars to accommodate any palate, and its main street offers a variety of shopping experiences - all within walking distance.

The town of Dullstroom has a number of unique attractions in addition to its many restaurants and shops. Wild about Whiskey offers whiskey and gin tasting, and the opportunity to taste and purchase from the largest range of whiskeys in the southern hemisphere. For the more energetic, there are a number of great mountain biking routes that cater for the novice through to the more experienced; and Highlands Gate offers golf on its Ernie Els designed course. For the more nature minded, the Dullstroom Nature Reserve offers hiking opportunities; the Bird of Prey Center about 2 km on the Belfast side of town offers two flight displays daily and the opportunity to view a number of birds of prey and other wildlife species; and the Verloren Valei Nature Reserve about 15 km from Dullstroom on the De Berg road can be visited - with prior arrangement - to explore its beauty, diversity of grassland birds and incredible orchid and wild flower diversity.
