Welcome to Hamill’s Lodge, Hartfell Cottage and Searles Cottage, comfortable country accommodation set on a private farm near Dullstroom. With three different accommodation options, the properties are well suited to families, groups and guests travelling with dogs, offering space to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Hamill’s Lodge sleeps up to 12 guests across four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The bedrooms feature either two single beds or a king bed, with a double sleeper couch also available. The lodge has a central living, kitchen and dining area with a fireplace, as well as wooden decks overlooking the valley and dam. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor braai and fire pit. Hartfell Cottage sleeps six adults and two children across three bedrooms. Sleeping arrangements include a double bed with a sleeper couch, bunk beds, and single beds that can be converted into a double on request. The cottage has two bathrooms and an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with an enormous fireplace. Outside, there is a lawn area and access to the dam, while larger dams are within walking distance. Searles Cottage sleeps six guests across three bedrooms, including a king bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and two twin bedrooms. The cottage has two bathrooms, an open-plan lounge and dining area, and a stone fireplace. The first supply of firewood is provided, with additional wood available at an extra charge. For guests who enjoy the outdoors, the farm offers stocked dams for catch-and-release trout fishing, with fish that are kept charged at an additional rate. Searles Cottage also has access to a 12km mountain biking track, while guided fauna and flora walks can be arranged on request. The properties are fenced and dog-friendly, giving guests the option to bring their pets along for their country getaway. With open space, dams and opportunities for outdoor activities, the farm provides plenty to enjoy during a stay. Please note that the accommodation is accessed via a dirt road, and a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Low-profile vehicles are not advised. Dullstroom, also known as Emnothweni, is a small town in Mpumalanga province, South Africa. The town lies 35 kilometres north of Belfast and some 53 kilometres south-west of Lydenburg.

*Fly Fishing Hartfell farm boasts five dams well stocked with Bass and Rainbow and Golden trout. Rod hire is available in Dullstroom (collect before you arrive), so there is no excuse for not having an early start and trying your luck. *Hiking There are several trails available on the farm, why not take a hike up to our waterfall and enjoy the flora and fauna along the way. Piet the owner will be happy to answer any questions relating to any exciting finds you come across. The Kruisfontein road is also popular with runners as there is very little traffic. *Mountain Biking The 42km Kruisfontein loop or numerous other routes can be planned. *Flora and Fauna The farm boasts 79 different species of Orchids, various buck and many nocturnal animals. *Early summer mornings are a birders paradise with many species of birds to be seen Once again the farm owner Piet is on hand to answer any queries you might have.
