Welcome to Komati Gorge Lodge, a four-star lodge set within an eco-estate in Mpumalanga, offering comfortable suites and cottages surrounded by the natural beauty of the area. The suites and cottages are equipped with a range of amenities for a comfortable stay, with many of the accommodation options featuring indoor fireplaces or underfloor heating for cooler winter evenings. During the warmer months, guests can cool off in the swimming pool or enjoy tubing on the river. For special occasions, Komati Gorge Lodge offers a bushveld wedding venue for intimate celebrations surrounded by nature. The setting can accommodate a stylish wedding tent or provide a more relaxed space for couples and their guests to celebrate together. The lodge also caters for conferences, training programmes and team-building events, with a conference facility above the restaurant that can accommodate up to 30 guests. This makes the property suitable for both informal group gatherings and more structured business events. Guests can enjoy meals at the lodge's restaurant, which offers gourmet dishes and desserts alongside attentive service. AREA INFORMATION

Situated in a sheltered canyon near Carolina, surrounded by the peaceful scenery, theres much to discover on our reserve. If you would like to go for a boat trip up the river, the canoes are available along the river towards Yellowwood house. We have quite a variety of game and other small animals on the reserve and surrounding areas. If you are interested in bird watching, there is a Bird List available at the reception reflecting which birds you can expect in this area and which have already been spotted on the reserve. We currently have two marked hiking trails. The road going past the Lodge into the gorge offers beautiful scenery and the occasional spotting of baboons, monkeys and a variety of buck. There are several lovely places for you to go on a picnic. Guests often take the canoes up to the weir and picnic there.
