The accommodation includes four cottages, each offering its own setting and layout. Agapanthus Cottage is a pet-friendly two-sleeper option with two separate en-suite bedrooms, queen-size beds, a fully equipped kitchenette and a cosy lounge with fireplace. The cottage has a fully fenced garden, Weber and gas braai facilities and solar power. Protea Cottage is set beside the water and can accommodate up to six adults, with two double bedrooms, sofa beds, two bathrooms, a double-sided fireplace, large patio and exclusive fishing rights to the dam in front of the cottage. Its garden is fenced and the cottage is suited to two couples and two children. For larger groups, Rose Cottage has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a family-sized lounge with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and a stoep overlooking the Highveld. It also has a secluded boma with braai area and a spacious garden. Kiepersol Cottage accommodates up to 10 adults and two children across four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Designed with families and groups of fly fishers in mind, it has a lounge and dining area with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, large terrace with braai facilities and a fully fenced garden close to three trout dams. Talbot Trout Farm offers plenty for guests who enjoy spending time outdoors. The farm has nine regularly stocked trout dams, with fishing available alongside hiking and mountain biking. The property is home to free-roaming game including zebra, ostriches, blesbok, rhebok and nyala, as well as otters, African fish eagles and a variety of water and grassland birds. Farm animals including donkeys, ponies and cattle can also be seen around the property. The cottages are designed with practical amenities for a comfortable self-catering stay, including fireplaces, kitchens, patios and outdoor furniture, with Wi-Fi and cleaning services also available. The farm operates with solar power and supplies cottages with mineral water from its own springs. The farm lends itself to fishing, birding, walking, mountain-biking and just plain relaxing. We are well known for our still water trout fishing and practice catch and release. Whilst the trout do breed in all of the dams a comprehensive stocking program is employed which ensures good catches throughout the year.
