Welcome to The Outpost Dullstroom, a warm and inviting self-catering guest farm set approximately 13 km outside Dullstroom on the Machadodorp gravel road. The regularly maintained gravel road is accessible by sedan, making the property an easy countryside escape for families, couples and groups. With several accommodation options, guests can choose a unit that suits their group size and preferred style of stay. Cedar Cottage is a comfortable family unit with two bedrooms, sleeping up to five guests. One bedroom has a double bed and a single bed suitable for a child, while the second has two single beds. The cottage has a shared bathroom, full kitchen, indoor braai, fireplace, TV and practical amenities including a microwave, refrigerator and coffee and tea facilities. Fisherman's Cottage is a standalone wooden cottage set beside a Wattle tree forest and overlooking a trout dam. It has two bedrooms, with a double bed in one and three single beds in the other, as well as a shared bathroom. The cottage includes a full kitchen, fireplace, TV, refrigerator and microwave, along with practical amenities for a comfortable self-catering stay. Willow House is set around a reconstructed farm dam and offers four bedrooms, comprising one queen bedroom, one double bedroom and two bedrooms with two single beds each. The house has a bathroom with bath and toilet, as well as a separate shower. Guests can make use of the full kitchen, fireplace, Wi-Fi, TV and pool table. Maple House is a spacious four-bedroom holiday home with two bathrooms and plenty of room for families or groups. The house includes a full kitchen, dining area, fireplace, pool table, Wi-Fi, TV and braai area. A children's playground is also available, with hiking, canoeing, horse riding and fishing activities nearby. The newest accommodation option, Alpine House, has five bedrooms and four bathrooms and is designed for larger groups. It offers modern comforts including Wi-Fi, a TV with Netflix, full kitchen with oven, fireplace, patio and garden. A cot is also available. For larger groups, the three Venue units offer dormitory-style accommodation in four dorm rooms, with each room sleeping a maximum of six guests. Guests share communal bathroom and kitchen facilities, as well as a guest lounge with fireplace, games room with pool table and braai area. The Outpost provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy the surrounding countryside, with hiking, horse riding, fishing and canoeing by arrangement. We offer affordable private accommodation for groups of golfers who enjoy a self-catering facility that includes a self-catering bar and braai area. Fishing: Catch and release on site or arrange with our manager for a permit to go fish on one of the oldest and biggest fishing farms in Dullstroom. Wedding Venues: The venue overlooks one of the farm’s trout dams and has a spectacular view of the surrounding farms. For wedding couples there is a choice of either an indoor or outdoor forest chapel, both overlooking our trout dams. Conference Venues: The venue is ideal for corporate events requiring presentation facilities. For team building events we have a variety of activities with weekend accommodation available.
