Trout River Falls is a luxurious trout fishing country lodge located on the historic Klipsteen farm, nestled in the scenic Steenkampsberg Mountains of Mpumalanga. Established in 2003 and awarded four stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, our lodge offers a serene escape amidst lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and breathtaking mountain views.

With 2 chalets featuring an interleading door, you have the perfect setup for family bonding and relaxation. Each chalet comes with a super king bed that can also be separated into two single beds, offering great flexibility for your needs. Enjoy the convenience of self-catering facilities, allowing you to prepare meals and create a home-like atmosphere during your stay.

Catch and release only.

Complementary fishing for lodge guests.

Day entry available at R200.00pp:

Day visitors and day anglers are welcome unless the lodge has been booked on an exclusive basis. We advise that you call ahead to confirm that day facilities are available on the days that you wish to visit.

General Information:

Check-in from 14:00 - 17:00.

Late check-in or early check-in will incur a charge of R600.00.

Check-out time: 10:00.

Late check-out is available on request and will incur a charge of R600.00. Guests are then welcome to check-out at 12noon.

Early check in times: 12noon onwards ( If guests request to check-in earlier than 12noon, then a half day rate applies – please check with us beforehand).

Breakfast served from 9:00 until 11:00.
